Felicísimo Pereira is the winemaker of Casal de Paula. He is the fourth generation of a family linked to the history of wine in the Ribeiro. In 2011, Galician Association of tasters and winemaker, awarded him as the best winemaker in Galicia. He elaborates wines in Ribeira Sacra, Ribeiro and Rias Baixas. All his efforts go to produce wines that are a true reflection of the personality of the soil as well as the vintage.
Emilio Docampo Dieguez, heir of an entire family winemaking tradition that dates back to the early twentieth century, is firmly committed to maintain the tradition and craftsmanship in the treatment and production of quality wines. He personally spends long periods of time in the vineyards paying careful attention to the health of individual vines which has helped him become recognized as a prestige grower in the region. Their vineyards are spread over two areas of the denomination of origin Ribeiro: San Andrés in Ribadavia and Sadurnín in Cenlle, between them a total of approximately 7 hectares. Taking into account the nature of the land, composition, humidity, orientation of the sun, etc., Emilio selects the plots best suited for each variety, Treixadura, Albariño, Torrontés and Godello varieties. He combines the tradition of craftsmanship inherited from generation to generation with the latest winemaking technologies.
Appearance: Purplish red.
Nose: fruity notes from wild fruits (blackberry and raspberries) and stone fruits (cherries and plums), with species at end giving it complexity.
Palate: Fleshy and round, with a long aftertaste with a notable Atlantic character.
Pairing: Ideal with game, red meat and stronger cheeses
